Memogate: Petitions are admissible, states SC
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) declared that the petitions submitted in the memo circumstance are maintainable and ordered to form a probe commission, Geo News reported.
About three chief justices of High Court and a periods judge will be element of the investigative commission, the SC buy said, incorporating that it should complete the job within four weeks.

Throughout today’s proceedings, PML-N lawyer Rasheed A Rizvi gave his arguments and stated the petition is not from any single individual on which the Chief Justice remarked that the court is neither in opposition to any person nor offering verdict from him. He more mentioned the court can intervene if the state seizes essential rights.
Rizvi mentioned the court did not incorporate Rehman Malik’s assertion relevant to memo situation wherever he confirmed about the communication between Mansoor Ijaz and Husain Haqqani. The statement was not rebutted by any get together, said the PML-N lawyer.
Justice Jawwad Khawaja remarked that there is no hurt if the investigation is carried out in the memo situation. It will unveil the reality in any situation, he mentioned.
Senator Ishaq Dar, member of Parliamentary Committee on National Stability (PCNS), offered his arguments in favour of acceptance of the petitions just before the nine-member bench.
The court then adjourned the listening to and reserved the verdict till 3:00 pm.
